High Velocity Bowling

Post by KmD »

This game is like Wii Bowling except it's on the PS3. It takes advantage of the Sixaxis motion controls. I've been having some fun on it, except that I've kind of hit a wall in the challenge mode. Everytime I unlock a character they have more Spin control than the last but a lot less ball speed. So each time you get a new character there's a little learning curve to get the hang of the new person's roll.

I talked QK into buying it on Friday to hopefully bring peace into the household for selling the Wii.

My wife and I have been playing this. Throwing curves is a challange for me so far. I can't seem to get the hang of this. I usually throw a curve at first hit the remaining pins with a straight roll. It's as fun as wii bowling but with trade offs in bowlers. I wish we could of made our own bowlers that looked like us but on the other side the content created bowlers have some personality. It's a litte more detailed in the bowling where you get to control the spin of your ball and the oil down the alley effects your game. The different bowling balls also are graded by their spin so you have a few more choices to make before you throw your ball. If they could of added teams, that would of been really fun.

I unlocked all the bowlers. It took all weekend. I have the next tournament to beat after I got Hiro. I just can't get used to the grease being straight down the ally. The best $10 I spent in a long time for a down loadable game. I busted my knuckles a few times on my dresser and busted Alecia upside her head when she walked by me, but nothing stopped me from beating Spider who was the hardest person to beat.

You can't even really compare this to Wii bowling.

High def games suck anyways. They're way to dark to play.
