What are you all up to?

Last one I finished was a Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass, which was actually pretty good and easy to read.

Currently reader Dr Strangelove.

I don't actually have a current book I am reading. I own the new Odd Thomas book, and I really want to read it. I just haven't found time yet.

Death by Meeting. And I just finished The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by the same author (Patrick Lenconi). He actually does a really good job of making a dry subject highly entertaining. :)

I just finished Blood Memory by Greg Iles yesterday.

I restarted reading World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. I'm not very far yet.

That book can be really hard to get through. I found some of the parts fantastic, though.

I just picked up 'The Living Dead', edited by John Joseph Adams.
It's a collection of different authors with short Zombie stories.
Also, I'm reading The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove by Christopher Moore.

I just saw that at the bookstore. I didn't get it, but let me know if it is good.

Sure thing, I have a real problem with books lately. I feel like I should be writing a story rather then reading one...

I shall be done with Dr Strangelove soon.... it's a short book, kind of pathetic it's taken me this long. The question is what do I read next?

I'm reading Wind-up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami. It's pretty bizarre, but I like it so far, about 200 pages left. Anybody read his stuff?

What are you reading otherwise?

Haven't read that, but I just started a book called 'Usurper of the Sun'. Its a sci-fi book translated from Japan. Not too bad to start off. Other than that I'm about to start a YA series called 'The Looking Glass Wars', and finished another YA book called Leviathan. (I love YA books, little time investment for some really good stories.)

I also finished up the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. 3 books, REALLY GOOD fantasy story. Assassins and what not.

After all those I can settle in and enjoy 'Under the Dome' by Steven King. The wife got me the Kindle version so I don't have to lug around that TOME of a novel.

I just finished reading that a little while ago (the actual book, not that lightweight Kindle edition  ). It's not as great as The Stand, but it is entertaining.

I'm at a loss as to what to read next. This is probably the longest I've gone between books.

If you read fantasy, I'd say the Night Angel Trilogy.

The old freakonomics or the new one he just came out with (super freakonomics, was it?). I enjoyed the original, will hopefully get around to the new one sometime.

I'm reading The Lovely Bones. Got it for Christmas, and wanted something to read. It is pretty good. About halfway through. Kind of strange to read a book from a murderexd 14 year olds point of view.

I'm reading a book called "Living the Martial Way". It's about the distinction between people who take martial arts for the exercise and those who live it, and how to live it as a warrior would.

I'm also reading another one called "Leading Geeks" which is about the same thing as the name describes. It's highlighted a lot of things missing from managers I've encountered in my life and it reaffirms things I already thought.

I got that book. I let a friend borrow it and he never gave it back.

Hehe. How long ago did you lend it out?

I'm only about 75 pages in, but it's made me realize how little I train, and how much more I should be.

I'm taking boxing as well as going to a school where they teach some of everything like aikido, jujutsu, karate, tang soo do, and kung fu.

Which school is that? Just wondering in case I ever get a chance to train again. I haven't been into the dojo since my Mom passed away.
