I have Veronica and Rex with me. They get smoked immediately too. It's the damn chainguns from the sentinels that get me. I even lay down a bunch of mines before they attack but it doesn't help. I'm just going to come back with some of the bigger weapons I have.

Hmmm. I ran over to a corner of the room, kind of behind one of them, and started taking them down. I don't have any HEAVY weapons, so I probably was using either one of my rifles, or a shotgun.

Alright, I'll try this next. I kept trying to run around and it didn't work whatsoever.

So I played some more and I decided to Kill Mr. House so I can have New Vegas all to myself. What a crazy crazy way to go! In case someone went the other way, I'm not even going to spoiler what happens next. Yes Man is happy with me and now I just have to take out or excuse the rest of the factions in the world. I was thinking of blowing up the Brotherhood of Steel, but I think that Veronica will leave if I do. And I'm torn whether or not I should care.

There was a Steam deal last week (or the week before, I forget) where the DLC for this game were $2.99 a piece. I picked up Dead Money and Honest Hearts.

I started with Dead Money which takes place in a town around a fortified casino known to house some sort of treasure that people give up their lives to acquire. You're kidnapped as soon as you enter the DLC and forced to wear one of those explosive collars. You soon find there's a mastermind behind this who has also booby trapped 3 others in the area. Your task is to find them somewhere in the town, bring them back to the main area, and once you secure all 3 you need to move them to a spot where they can help you disarm the defense of the casino for long enough to get in. Your job is to clear out the casino so the mastermind can loot the casino dry and you can regain your freedom.

The fun part about this is that there are these ghost people wandering around the city who kill on sight. They don't die when you shoot them either. You have to make sure that you remove an appendage after killing them or they'll get right back up again and come after you. Oh, and your collar is triggered by radios which are scattered around the city and casino almost everywhere meaning you don't have very long in some areas before you blow up. That and there's some poison gas seeping from the casino which is very deadly to you and can kill you in seconds. Stims are a must here. Needless to say, I died. A lot.

This one was more difficult than I expected because there's not enough ammo to use any automatic weapons. The skills best used in here at melee/unarmed and explosives, all of which I have the least of. Energy weapons comes in handy as well since your main weapon is called the "Holo Rifle" and uses MFC ammo.

Having to dismember the dead after killing them made things difficult as well, especially in groups of 2 or more since you had to try and dismember them while being attacked from all angles for lots of damage. You couldn't just attack from afar since there was probably poison gas or a radio between you, and by the time you'd get over there the ghostie would have already revived.

10-15 hours later though, I made it thru. And there was a nice reward at the end which made it all worth it.

I just started Honest Hearts, and all I know is it has to do with Joshua Graham who was Caesar's first Legate. After some monumental failure he was burned alive and thrown into the Grand Canyon. He's not dead, he's instead in Utah leading a tribe of new American Indians. I've just met him and now I'm running errands.

Damn. Wish I would have seen that sale. I got a little burned out on Fallout New Vegas, though.

I did for awhile, but I have about 90 hours into the game right now just wandering around and blowing stuff up and doing side quests. I'm having so much fun with it. I installed a few mods which don't completely change everything, but they definitely change some things up.
