It deserves its own thread.

Franklin and Tara's relationship is so damn funny.

What I think of Tommy and his father.
Tommy's dad uses him in dog fighting.

Pretty cool when Eric found out that the King of Mississippi killed his parents.

Its becoming a couples show. Jason and Crystal, Layayette and Jesus, Eric and Tara, Terry and Arlene.

I was thinking the exact same thing!

It is becoming a couple's show, but you have to admit, the Lafayette and Jesus "date" was pretty cute.

Has anyone read the books? I'm just waiting for Arlene to turn into the raging bitch she is in the novels.

Not to mention Hoyt and Jessica.

Jessica has become my favorite character on the show. :)

I hated the first couple of episodes because I disliked Bill and Sookie. The show was so much better once they introduced Eric.

Franklin cracks me up. I am really digging his nut-job character. It is a good platform for Tara. She can be really annoying, but she is better with him. I loved the texting scene where he kept telling her to watch him retype Mother Fucker because he was so fast. It made me laugh and laugh.

I agree about the dogfighting thing. Though, if it is about dogfighting, I will probably skip those parts.

This season is much, much better than season 2. I really despised the whole maenad thing, since it basically just took a bunch of characters out of the show for no reason. This season has quite a bit of intrigue, and the characters are all behaving believably. I very much like all the new characters.

I'm still waiting for some Sookie & Eric action.

Totally agree. Eric is really cute with Sookie. I don't really like her that much, but they are cute together. He gets softer around her.

Franklin's head! I bet he's still alive. He didn't explode into puddle of strawberry jam.

I covered my eyes with my hand during the Lafayette kissing scene.

I can't stand Tommy's Parents. They need to die.

It's hilarious to think a vampire would need to play scratch off lottery games to win money. To bad they can't break into peoples homes and steal stuff.

Agreed. If he is still alive, it's interesting that he didn't wake up, might tell you about vampires during the day.

I thought his mother was okay until she revealed herself to be a total coward in this episode. It's obvious she's the one enabling the father to kick him around and keep him in the ring. Who was it who told Sam he "didn't want to know those people"? They were probably right...

Sophie-Anne is a complete basket case. I think hundreds of years of boredom have caused her to revert to the maturity of a 7 year old.

This is really annoying. She's a very strong character in the novels with a great history, and I hate that they've made her into a nutcase. I really liked her in the books, but can't stand her on the show.

The LaFayette kissing scene was REALLY LONG! I don't want to watch any kissing for that long.

Poor Franklin. I am pretty sure he is still alive, though.

What the hell are Sookie, Tara, and maybe Bill going to do being on the run? That King guy, I'm sure, will find them.

Did you see the preview immediately after the show? (Possible mega-spoilers ahead if you don't care to see those.) It looks like Sookie ends up in the hospital after probably nearly being sucked dry by Lorena, and Bill... somehow becomes human? They show him in the sunlight, and he's surprised that he's not roasting. I'm wondering if that has something to do with Lorena basically draining his body completely of his vampire blood.

Tara's been fairly smart and resourceful, which is cool. I thought at one point that she might give up and allow herself to be turned, after all the shit that's happened to her.

I did see the preview. It looked awesome, but I assume that was a preview of more than just the next episode. It looked pretty major.

I thought Bill drained Sookie though. I saw Lorena bite, but then it looks like Bill really drains her. Let's face it, it wouldn't be a vampire show if one of the vampires didn't have human traits for awhile at least.

For some reason Sookie's coma dream reminded me of a butter commercial. With all the white clothes and dancing, you can kind of see what Sookie is, all that's missing is little butterfly wings. I said butter twice. :P

Yeah, the ep last night wasn't that exciting. The coma dream was boring, and I fast forwarded all of the dogfighting bits. I absolutely cannot watch that kind of thing. Even when I know it is on a TV show.

That was a fun episode for the following reasons:

1. They made sure to point out that vamps go all goopy when killed, meaning that Franklin should still be alive. Maybe with vampiric brain damage, but alive.

2. Pam returned.

3. Magister dead, Lorena dead.

4. "I didn't think I was smart enough to get depressed."

No Jessica this week. I missed her. If she doesn't make an appearance next week, the writers will feel my wrath.

Truth. Remy and I were just talking about how we hated hated hated Jessica when she first appeared, but she's recently become one of the great characters. They took her out of the rebellious teen mode and just made her kind of dumb and fun.

I wish they had developed Jessica a little more last season. She came off like you guys said, all whiny and angsty, when I think there was some good potential there to show how someone learns to deal with becoming a vampire.

I agree, especially seeing Lorena killed by Bill and Sookie. That was the perfect ending to her tragic story. I was surprised to see the magister murdered, but regardless, it looks like things are going to be interesting for Louisiana with a new royal family.

Who is your number 2 reason, Pam? Why don't I remember that person?

It is awesome that Lorena died. I forgot about that.

Who doesn't love Jason Stackhouse? That guy couldn't do a better job if he tried.

Pam is Eric's henchwoman. She's so much fun. "Maybe everyone thinks I'm friendly because I smile a lot and wear pink."

Pam is awesome.

Pam: "Does your mama know you're here?"
Jason: "My mama's dead."
Pam: "So am I."

Pam: “Now I don’t remember telling you lavender was my favorite color.”
Sookie: “I’m in no mood for lesbian weirdness tonight, Pam. Where’s Bill?”
