Director:Ruben Fleischer
Cast:Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

I thought the trailer looked good, and I'm really not a Harrelson fan.

It was pretty darn good. I liked that it never strayed from its core and tried to be drama, horror, or whatever else. I suggest it for those who can handle gore roughly on the level of Shaun of the Dead.

Enjoyable. It could have been scarier, but I like that it was a comedy first, a zombie movie second, and a romance last.

The slow motion zombie shots in the intro were great.

Woody Harrelson was pretty effin funny in this too. I didn't care for the Micheal Cena rip off actor though.

But all in all, agreed, a good movie.

He's the Hollywood pet version of Michel Cera. This is a guy they can get to do what they want.

This is one of those low budget films that turns out to be classic.

Also, I found out during the previews that Michael Bay will be directing the next Nightmare on Elm Street. Really?? Who decided that was a good idea?

I also wonder why they always advertise actual horror films at a stupid zombie comedy. They did like 5 or 6 previews for "real" horror, whereas Zombieland is NOT horror at all.

Best line: Fuck this clown.

Bay is one of the producers, actually. Some other guy is directing it. The trailer was totally name dropping.

Yeah, I don't get that either.

But, to be honest, previews for horror movies play before darn near every movie I see in theaters. It's fricking annoying 'cause I don't like horror movies.

Horror trailers are easy to break down:
If the movie is 100% fiction, display the text: Based on a True Story
Foreshadowing of a past indiscretion or setup of typical white suburban family/couple out of their element.
Insert stupid movie promotional phrase here or further down

Insert Slasher Noises or setup creepy elusively shot scenes.

Cut to female leader/first female victim calling outs brother/boyfriend’s name
/Alternately/
The character is wondering what’s going on when they find an odd piece of evidence. Usually exclaiming, “What is this?”

Pause
Pause
Screams and high action scenes spliced together.
Play audio from any news clips that might have been playing during the movie but were usually cut from the final release due to time constraints. This can also be the lead in audio of the trailer. (A rash of brutal murders, an unusually high amount of goat rapings.)
If a token jokester character has a particularly funny line that tested well with the preview audiences, insert his line here. (This whole situation is Whack, Yo!)
Inter cut shots of girl screaming/crying attempting to run away.
Show quick cuts of one of the token characters (black guy, frat boy, nerdy friend) getting killed. They weren’t important to the story, we all knew they were going to die, and the real draw to get people into the theatre was Megan Fox anyways.

Insert stupid movie promotional phrase. (The Corn have Ears, Only the Dead shall Tapdance!)
Pause
Small scream section that is briefly cut finally detailing the killer more accurately, usually some sort of southerner/Metal Thrasher Guitar player garnished with suburbia fears. (Pissed off Goalie, Angry Trick or Treater, Starved Oprah)

Calm down segment detailing the movie title.
Pause
Pause

Final 'Startle' segment with a quick cut of screaming/evil monster attacking.
Date when movie is out and a warning that the film is not yet rated since their only 40% done filming it.

There wasn't enough zombie killing. There was some at the beginning of the movie then boy likes girl drama took over and made it boring.

Watched this last night. It was a really fun movie. They obviously wanted Michael Sera (Arrested Development, Juno, etc.) as the lead kid. His lines were written perfectly for him. I wish there was more zombie killing, and I would have probably killed those girls myself. Otherwise, I thought it was a lot of fun.

Agreed on all points. Those girls were annoying as crap.
